CASE STUDY

ASSEMBLAGE, BOOK, PERFORMANCE

Case Study imagines connections between the stories and antiquities collected by Sigmund Freud in his books and his study as displayed in the Freud Museum, London. The assemblages, poems, and fragments printed in the book are envisaged as psychoanalytic objects to be read, analysed, and caressed. Figuring the psychoanalytic process as an exercise in self narration through text and (material and imagined) touch, the book uses materials from my personal collection of artefacts, diaries, correspondence, and psychiatric assessments.

Poems performed and prints from the book exhibited at The Poet as Ethnographer, The Rag Factory, London, 2012.
