Video with sound 10:00 and performance with text object.

A video and performance forming the second part of the Ellipsis series, which seeks to understand the linguistic, material, and spatial workings of desire through the poetics of the punctuation mark.
The 152m length of text is a cut and taped composite of diary entries describing details of dreams and encounters with “she”. The soundtrack comprises layers of voice reading the diary entries simultaneously. The audible and visible words become gradually less legible throughout the video.
In the performance, I walked slowly through the audience, gradually unwinding the length of text, whispering fragments to individuals while passing, and obscuring the visible text in the projection with my silhouette.
